So many signs of seasonal change right outside our door!! Dried flowers, changing leaves, wooly bear caterpillars, drooping sunflowers, lower sun, cooler breezes, and milkweed seeds blowing in the garden AND in our classroom. Older friends and younger friends working together with our Kinder friends - noticing, observing, wondering!
Primary Blended students are practicing using their "scientist eyes" to look at the world around them. After a close observation, they diagram, add details, and label their work. Two new thoughts: our work is more accurate when we look closely, and sometimes we need to do multiple drafts to end up with a finished product that is BIG, BOLD, BRIGHT, and BEAUTIFUL!!! Ask us about Austin's Butterfly!!!
Primary Blenders worked with Mrs. Wright today to pull out dead plants, pick LOADS of kale, and plant a cover crop. Students planted oats which will be tilled into the soil in the spring to enrich the ground. We're anxious to see the oats grow before winter. It was a great time in the garden - already looking forward to and planning for next spring!!
